Day 1: Pick-up from Masindi and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

You will meet our Kfir Adventures English speaking driver guide in Masindi on this morning, be briefed on the rules and regulations in the park. Embark on the car and drive Northwest where the park is situated. At Kichumbanyobo gate, payments will be carried out for admission into the park.

Drive through a transition of tropical rainforest (Budongo), with an oversight of primates like black and white colobus monkeys, baboons, red tailed monkeys, blue monkeys and many more. Murchison Falls National Park is a paradise boasting of over 451 bird species including the endemic bird Puvel’s illadopsis, and 76 mammal species including four of the African big five. Proceed with game drive to the Savannah for an adventure in quest for both the big and small game like lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs and Antelopes of different species. This game drive will take 3 hours. Retreat back to the restaurant for lunch break ahead of your boat cruise at 2:00pm.

Boat Cruise
Embark on the car and descend to the Nile for an afternoon boat launch to the bottom of the falls. The Nile is very healthy and plays a significant role in inhabiting marine life. Permanent residents like Nile Crocodiles basking, ponds of Hippos will be sighted whereas regular visitors like elephants, warthogs, waterbucks, Giraffes, Buffalos will be seen at the riverbank drinking and thermal regulating. Keep focused for giant kingfishers, African fish eagle, pied kingfishers, Goliath Herons, saddle Bill stork, all these iconic sightings highlight the significance of the eco-system in the park. This activity lasts for three hours. Meet your guide at dock, embark on the car and proceed to the top of falls.

Top of falls Experience
Visit the world’s most powerful waterfalls for a magnificent view of the falls squeezing through a 7meter narrow gorge, which is the narrowest point along the Nile. The estimated volume of water passing through the gorge is 300,000 Cubic litters at a speed 1.6metres per second and dropping through 45metres to the depth of 37metres before it loses its youthful energy to meet Lake Albert at the delta in the west. The aggressive splashes of saturated air around the waterfalls are not only refreshing but also significant and a revelation of the power of the waterfalls. Embark on the car and hit the road for Masindi before it gets late.
